SOME ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS...
When is the best time to photograph a Newborn?
The best age to photograph newborns is when they are between 5-10 days new. During this time newborns are still very sleepy and curly. They don’t mind you moving them around from pose to pose while they rest in dreamland! Once they have a full belly and are kept warm, they will generally sleep the entire session!
This is not to say we can’t photograph your newborn at any other age. Beautiful images can be captured at any stage. However, you should know that once beyond this “new” stage, we may not be able to get the curly poses. If you want specific poses, please ask about those prior to your session.
I have a Newborn Session booked, but my due date is here and still no baby… Can I reschedule?...will I lose my deposit?
You will definitely NOT lose your deposit. When booking a newborn session in advance, we will try to book a date approximately 7 days after your due date. As is normal, baby doesn’t usually come on the due date, so even if you do have the baby a few days early, then we’ll still be in that ‘ideal’ time to photograph them. If due date comes along and baby is still not here then just give me a call… we’ll reschedule as best we can….these things happen!
I want to do skin on skin shots but my baby may have an "accident" or my baby has reflux, and spills a lot.
This is perfectly normal when a nappy is removed......babies love Fresh air! And even babies that don't have reflux, that are placed on their tummies, tend to spill. Being a mum of two small children, I’m used to it…so it won’t faze me at all if I get spilled on too! It is easily cleaned up, and everything can be washed…so no worries!
When will I get my portraits?
I will arrange viewing session for you to come and view your gallery approximately 1 week after your session.. At this time you will order and pay for your products. Viewing sessions are only available on weekdays.
How and when do I pay?
The session fee is required to be paid to confirm all bookings, or you can choose to pre-purchase a basic digital package on booking and waive the session fee. All products ordered at your viewing session must be paid for at that time. You can pay by Bank Transfer, credit card or layby. After your booking has been confirmed and session fee/payment has been made, if you cancel within 14 days of your booking there will be a 10% fee deducted from any refunds.
Do you display my portraits without my permission?
Your portraits will NOT be displayed unless you sign a release to do so.
Who owns the copyright and can I tag mine on Facebook?
All images are owned by "Angela Eastwood Photography" and have Copyright. When booking a portrait session with Angela Eastwood you agree to this. If you sign a release allowing me to share on Facebook you may "tag" the image as long as it's not altered , cropped , or my logo is removed - you are not to download or copy any images on Facebook. Once you have purchased any digital images then you may upload onto Facebook without editing the images. However, once you have purchased digital files you may print them as you like, for personal use.
How many photos do you take?
I take an unlimited amount during your session however this is then edited down to approx 30-40 images.
If I want to print images from the disc later where should I get my photos printed?
I would recommend getting enlargements done at a professional print lab rather than a kiosk in the mall or one of the DIY websites. A professional lab will produce a far superior print with true colour, that you won’t get in a kiosk or online.
